Hi, I’m Kelly Carr

I am a Maine Licensed Professional Investigator with more than 20 years of combined law enforcement and legal investigation experience. I specialize in digital and mobile forensics, evidence review, case analysis, witness interviews, and defense analysis.

Unlike other forensic firms, I provide a full-service blend of investigations and digital forensics, delivering both technical findings and the investigative perspective needed to put them into context.

My investigative career began in litigation support at a large insurance company before I joined the Maine Department of Corrections as an interdisciplinary team member. There, I managed complex case files, assisted with investigations, and ensured legal and accreditation compliance in a medium-security housing unit that included intensive substance abuse and sex offender treatment programs.

In 2016, I transitioned to a boutique civil litigation firm in Portland, where I gained extensive experience managing complex legal cases, conducting in-depth research, and preparing evidence for trial.

My expertise in digital and mobile forensics, digital footprint analysis, and dark web investigations helps uncover exculpatory evidence and effectively challenge prosecutorial claims.

I hold an AAS in Criminal Justice from Southern Maine Community College, which provided a strong foundation in investigative techniques, criminal law, case preparation, and forensic methodologies. As a four-year member of the University of Southern Maine Cyber Security Organization, I further refined my skills in digital investigations, data analysis, and cybercrime.

With a thorough understanding of civil and criminal procedure and evidentiary standards, I deliver strategic, detail-oriented investigations that give attorneys and clients the highest level of professional support.
